More aggressive than it probably needed to be, yet it was still the exciting adventure I thought it might be. Language was very minimal, no real nudity or sexuality, but some of the imagery gets a bit darker than I had anticipated.
If you're looking for a fun, happy, exciting, adventure, you're in for a darker, more intense, somewhat sarcastic journey instead. It has its light moments, but they are short-lived.
Nonetheless, the effects and mysterious story line made for good cowboy and alien fun as you would expect. It has a good western feel, though it is quite a bit more mainstream than a real western.
If you thought Super 8 was only OK, you'll probably like this one much better. Just don't expect no western War of the Worlds.
Now go wrangle you some extra-terrestrials!
Recommendations:
If you want something not quite as dark, but still great action and adventure, you definitely need to see I Am Number Four.
